Families and game enthusiasts now can choose from more than 1,000 premium games on Verizon's Games on Demand service, powered by Exent. This makes Verizon Games on Demand (gamesondemand.verizon.net) the largest and most diverse games library of any PC games subscription service. The 1,000th game milestone was reached recently with the availability of iWin's updated Hasbro-licensed classics "Risk" and "Boggle," "Poker Superstars III" from Funkitron, and "Cake Mania 2" from Sandlot Games.

Verizon FiOS TV customers will get even more great programming this summer as Verizon adds more than 60 new channels to the lineup, including high-definition (HD), sports and multicultural content. Verizon plans to expand its lineup to offer by the end of the year up to 150 HD channels, which will include all available major HD programming. Other Verizon HD choices include hundreds of video-on-demand (VOD) titles per month, with 1,000 HD VOD titles by the end of the year.

Qualifying consumers here now have a new broadband option from Verizon, as the company expands the availability of its ultra-fast High Speed Internet service. It more than doubles the download speed of the company's current fastest digital subscriber line, or DSL, service and provides an appealing alternative to cable Internet.

The new Verizon High Speed Internet service offers qualified customers a downstream connection speed of up to 7 megabits per second (Mbps) for as low as $42.99 a month when ordered with an annual service plan.

Us to Europe, US to Africa, US to Asia, US to Australia etc. With the advent of Fiber Optics, companies out there are thinking and planning big!!!! Just a few years ago long Distance phone calls across the Atlantic had to be relayed via satellite.
