 There's finally a home-entertainment choice that's big enough for Buffalo-area consumers as Verizon begins offering FiOS TV service in numerous Erie County communities Monday (Sept. 15).
"Consumers in these communities at long last have a better choice for TV," said Denny Strigl, Verizon's president and chief operating officer. "We've had great success in cities and towns from California to Texas, from Florida to Massachusetts.  The future of television has arrived for thousands of Puget Sound-area consumers as Verizon, the nation's fastest-growing television service provider, announced Tuesday (Sept. 9) the launch of its industry-leading FiOS TV service in Washington. The service offers 98 HD channels, giving customers more HD channels than Comcast.
More than 80,000 households in Washington can now order and enjoy the ultimate home-entertainment experience of FiOS TV service and have the option of Verizon's FiOS Freedom bundle - comprising FiOS TV, FiOS Internet and reliable landline telephone service - for as little as $99.99 a month.

 As part of Verizon's continuous expansion of its FiOS TV channel lineup, the company announced today that it has started adding GMA Pinoy TV, a 24-hour general interest channel broadcast in Tagalog, one of the major languages spoken in the Philippines.
Filipinos in parts of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island where FiOS TV is available can now enjoy GMA Pinoy TV, the first international channel from leading broadcast company GMA Network and one of the Philippines' top television stations. Verizon will launch GMA Pinoy TV in all remaining FiOS TV markets during the next few months.

Verizon FiOS TV subscribers who speak Spanish, Chinese and Hindi now have more multicultural entertainment to choose from as Verizon adds films in the three languages to its lineup this month.
Verizon is offering the international films through an agreement announced Tuesday (March 6) with SIVOO Inc., the first Internet TV network of multicultural on-demand entertainment programming.
SIVOO will provide 236 titles in Spanish, Chinese and Hindi to Verizon over three years. During March, Verizon will offer eight films each in Spanish and Hindi and three in Chinese, and SIVOO will refresh the selection monthly. |
